Building the Incubators of Innovation

JEMA’s Kristin Kendrick and John Mueller will join a panel of local design professionals for AIA St. Louis’ Continuing Education Workshop, Building the Incubators of Innovation: Designing for the Future Workforce. The program will explore how architecture supports career and technical education through the design of adaptable learning environments that prepare students for evolving workforce needs. Kristin will share lessons learned from managing St. Charles Community College’s Regional Workforce Innovation Center from concept through completion, while John will offer insight from his experience leading educational, civic, and workplace projects. The discussion will also examine how lighting, safety, emerging technology, and exposed building systems can become active teaching tools.
